Exporters bullish on Q2 growth: CII survey

A survey by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) shows that Indian exporters are buoyant about outbound shipment in the 2nd quarter of this financial year. The Business Confidence Survey, conducted by CII, says a majority of exporters, about 69.2 percent, are optimistic of their export volumes going up in the July-September period.
The survey said that in Q1 FY11-12 exports for most exporters remained either unchanged or declined. However, for Q2 FY11-12, majority are optimistic that volume of export will increase.
However, for Q2 FY11-12, a majority of 69.2 percent is optimistic that volumes of export will increase. This is an encouraging expectation given the expected slowdown in globally economic growth.Expectation for Q2 FY11-12 is in lines with the previous quarter.
