Wipro to offer cloud computing services to SMEs

With a view to target the SME market, Wipro is investing huge funds in the cloud computing technology. The company has started a new division to address cloud computing business.
The estimated market size of SMEs for cloud computing is $4.5 billion. The company will offer its customers pay-per-use model, which will be customised to their specific needs. For example, a small business can pay for each transaction and it can be as low as 50 paise for printing an invoice, which will be recorded and charged to the customer.
Our customers will have access to world class infrastructure, world class network, application base etc which they won't have access to otherwise,” said Mr Sankaran Wipro Infotech Senior Vice-President and Business Head for India and West Asia.
