\r\n Lina Ashar, Founder, Kangaroo Kids Preschool and Billabong High International School, has been felicitated with “Leading Woman Entrepreneur of the year” award at the 3rd Edition Women Leaders in India Awards, 2011. The glittering award ceremony was held at the Taj Mahal Palace, Mumbai and witnessed participation of top dignitaries and Bollywood personalities. The annual award ceremony celebrates the remarkable achievements of the successful women leaders, entrepreneurs/ professionals and recognizes exceptional leaders who have played an important role in specific sectors. Women Leaders in India is an ideal environment to explore the contemporary issues and management concerns prevailing at the workplace. This year, the initiative hosted 200 top women from the business and political arena. The esteemed award, which is in its 3rd year, selected the winners on various parameters like internal perception within the organization, credibility, achievement and value contribution to the business. The award also looked at a person’s track record of performance and achievements along with values, integrity and work life balance which form the essential competencies of a women leader.
