Head of European & External Affairs for the Welsh Government

Mr. Gary Davies is a career civil servant and senior official in the Welsh Government, reporting direct to the Head of the Civil Service in Wales.

Mr. Davies is responsible for the Welsh Government�s presence across the world, including USA, China, Japan, Middle East, Ireland, Brussels and the Welsh Government�s offices in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangalore.

Mr. Davies also manages a team in Cardiff, Wales, UK with responsibility for:

International Sustainable Development Networks, Fair Trade in Wales, Wales for Africa Framework including all international development related matters in Sub Saharan Africa
European Union policy and European State Aid issues
International Relations - providing a focal point for international matters within the Welsh Government and developing strategic objectives for the development of the Government�s international relations
