Dilip Chhabria had left a secure job at GM design Centre Detroit to return to India with the vision of creating his own brand. And, 23 years down the line his company, DC designs, has come to occupy an enviable position in the automotive pantheon with a dynamic matrix of products, and services and customers across the B-to-B and B-to-C segments. The company has breached the business concept of car building segment in Europe having created some of the iconic models for Aston Martin, GM, Ford, BMW, Renault, Toyota as well almost all Indian OEMS.
An alumnus of Art Centre, Pasadena, USA, he all set to achieve an audacious dream of creating India’s first super car, ‘AVANTI’.
His hobbies, pastime, relaxation, are all rolled into a single-minded passion for designing cars, creating art, and mentoring automotive designers at his design college.
