Cyrix Healthcare, a portfolio company of Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has acquired the MedTech Solutions business of Blue Star Engineering & Electronics Ltd (Blue Star E&E), effective September 1, 2026. Financial terms were not disclosed.
The acquisition adds Blue Star E&E’s medical imaging expertise in CT and MRI to Cyrix’s Total MedTech Management platform, covering equipment sales, installation, maintenance, repairs and refurbishment.
Blue Star E&E’s team has worked across more than 250 CT and MRI installations in India. All existing customers will continue to be served by the same team, now under Cyrix, with the transition effective immediately.
The refurbishment capabilities will add to AURUM, Cyrix’s refurbished medical equipment business, particularly in CT and MRI systems, and expand access to spare parts and accessories through Cyrix’s service network.
Cyrix has over 1,200 biomedical engineers and technical professionals, expertise across 6,000-plus medical technology models and supports more than 650,000 devices across over 25,000 healthcare facilities in India, the Middle East and Africa. The deal is part of its M&A-led strategy to scale operations across these markets.
