EMO Energy Launches Intelligent Battery Platform for Electric Buses and Trucks
EMO Energy has launched an AI-enabled intelligent battery platform for electric buses, trucks, and commercial fleets, marking its entry into the heavy commercial EV segment.

EV battery technology company EMO Energy has announced its entry into the heavy commercial vehicle (HCV) electric mobility segment with the launch of a new intelligent battery platform designed for electric buses, trucks, and high-utilisation commercial fleets.

According to the company, the platform integrates battery systems, charging technology, thermal management, and artificial intelligence (AI)-based battery monitoring into a unified solution. It has been developed to address key challenges faced by commercial EV operators, including downtime, charging delays, overheating, and battery degradation.

The platform supports high-voltage architectures of up to 800V and is compatible with both lithium iron phosphate (LFP) and nickel manganese cobalt (NMC) battery chemistries. EMO Energy claims the system can enable fast charging in under 30 minutes.

The new platform features a modular battery architecture, immersion-cooling thermal systems, smart battery management systems (BMS), cell-level health monitoring, predictive diagnostics, and advanced safety functions.

EMO Energy stated that the platform has been designed for a wide range of commercial EV applications, including electric buses, heavy-duty trucks, logistics fleets, construction vehicles, and industrial equipment.

The company emphasized that the solution focuses not only on battery capacity but also on battery intelligence, higher vehicle uptime, and long-term operational reliability. The platform is expected to help fleet operators increase vehicle utilisation, reduce downtime, and lower the total cost of ownership (TCO). It also includes provisions for second-life battery applications.

The launch builds on EMO Energy’s ongoing work with commercial EV manufacturers, for whom the company develops battery systems, charging solutions, thermal management technologies, and AI-enabled battery intelligence platforms.

Commenting on the development, Sheetanshu Tyagi, Founder and CEO of EMO Energy, said, “The future of commercial EVs will be defined not just by battery capacity, but by battery intelligence. At EMO Energy, we are building intelligent battery systems that help commercial fleets achieve higher uptime, faster charging, and long-term reliability at scale.”
