Professional education company Imarticus Learning has announced the launch of the Imarticus School of Finance & Business (ISFB), a specialized institution designed to address the quality gap in finance education and equip students with industry-relevant skills.
Backed by a ₹25 crore venture fund in partnership with BLinC Invest, ISFB will provide entrepreneurial students with seed capital from day one, enabling them to start and scale their ventures. For students aspiring to attend global business schools, ISFB has partnered with study-abroad consulting platform Ambitio, offering AI-powered admissions tools and expert mentorship to enhance their chances of admission. According to Imarticus, while India produces over one million commerce graduates annually, fewer than 10% transition into finance roles aligned with their education.
Nikhil Barshikar, Founder of Imarticus Learning and Chairman of the ISFB Advisory Council, said,“India suffers from a shortage of graduates who are prepared for the future of finance. Outdated curricula and degree-led education no longer meet the needs of an industry reshaped by AI, digital lending, ESG, and globalisation. ISFB has been created to bridge this gap.”
ISFB offers its proprietary R.E.A.L. pedagogy (Reflect, Experience, Apply, Learn), complemented by global and domestic immersions such as a week-long program in Singapore with SP Jain School of Global Management, bootcamps at IIM Visakhapatnam, and grassroots finance explorations through the Explore India Mission.
The school has launched with a three-year Bachelors in Finance & Business program and will soon introduce an 11-month PG in Global Finance & AI. ISFB has formed partnerships with Ambit (Investment Banking), Motilal Oswal (Asset & Wealth Management), and Cognizant (Digital Finance & AI) to provide students with practical industry exposure.
Under the leadership of Joy Parekh, CEO of ISFB, the institution is guided by an Advisory Council, chaired by Nikhil Barshikar and co-chaired by financial services veteran Ajay Srinivasan. The council includes industry leaders such as Ajay Rajan (Yes Bank), Ravindra Pandey (SBI), Garima Batra (BCG), Vikas Khattar (Ambit), Dr. Avantika Tomar (EY Parthenon), and Rajat Mathur (ex-Morgan Stanley), along with policy experts, fintech innovators, and academic leaders.
ISFB aims to equip students with global financial knowledge, AI-driven skills, and entrepreneurial insights, bridging the gap between academic learning and industry requirements and preparing graduates for successful careers in the evolving finance landscape.
