Karigari by Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi has expanded its presence in India with the launch of its 13th outlet and maiden venture in Meerut, introducing what it describes as the city's first chef-led fine dining restaurant. The new opening marks a significant milestone in the brand's growth strategy as it continues to bring its culinary philosophy to newer markets.

The restaurant was officially launched on 5 June 2026 under the theme "Raj Tilak Utsav," a concept designed to honour the spirit of craftsmanship. The initiative celebrated the contributions of artisans, creators, artists, athletes, and individuals from diverse fields who exemplify dedication, skill, and excellence in their respective crafts, reflecting Karigari's core ethos of recognising and promoting craftsmanship.

Ahead of the official opening, the brand hosted an exclusive preview evening, "Sharbat-e-Shaam, Meerut Ke Naam," on 4 June 2026. The event welcomed prominent personalities, entrepreneurs, social leaders, and distinguished members of Meerut's community, offering them a first look at the restaurant's distinctive concept and ambience.

Spread across more than 3,000 sq. ft., the outlet has been designed as an ode to India's rich artisanal heritage. The interiors showcase narratives of craftsmanship through dedicated spaces celebrating sports icons, artists, textile artisans, and creators from various disciplines. A specially curated Chef's Coat Wall further pays tribute to culinary excellence and the artistry of chefs.

The launch featured a grand curtain reveal, introducing guests to one of the city's newest fine dining destinations. The immersive experience was crafted to blend hospitality with culture and storytelling, creating a memorable first impression for visitors.

Enhancing its offerings, the restaurant also includes an elegantly appointed Private Dining Room (PDR), providing an exclusive venue for intimate celebrations, corporate gatherings, and special occasions.

Speaking on the occasion, Chef Harpal Singh Sokhi, celebrity chef and the creative force behind Karigari, said: “Karigari has always been about celebrating the people behind the craft. Every dish, every design element, and every experience at Karigari is dedicated to the spirit of the karigar. We are delighted to bring this philosophy to Meerut and look forward to creating a destination that the city can proudly call its own.”

Yogesh Sharma, Founder & CEO of Karigari, added: “Meerut is a city with a rich cultural legacy. With Karigari’s arrival, we aim to offer not just exceptional food, but an experience that honours the artisans and creators who inspire us every day.”

Karigari’s entry into Meerut has been made possible through its franchise partnership with Tanishk Vashishtha and Atul Vashishtha. Aligned with the brand’s philosophy, the duo aims to enrich the city’s dining scene by offering a blend of authentic cuisine, elevated hospitality, and thoughtfully curated guest experiences.
