Mother Dairy’s Managing Director Manish Bandlish has resigned and will leave the organisation at the end of his notice period on November 30, the company confirmed on Friday. Bandlish is stepping down to pursue opportunities outside the organisation, according to people familiar with the development.

Bandlish, who took charge as MD in March 2021, led the dairy major through a period of expansion across new categories including bakery products. Mother Dairy recorded revenues of ₹17,500 crore in the previous financial year.

In an emailed response to PTI, the company said “Manish Bandlish has decided to step down from his position as Managing Director of Mother Dairy, upon completion of his notice period on November 30, 2025, in order to pursue his professional goals outside the company.”

The company also conveyed “sincere appreciation for his valuable contributions to the overall growth of the company.”

Until a new MD is appointed, Mother Dairy said the Deputy Managing Director will handle the responsibilities of the top post under the supervision of the Board.

Mother Dairy, one of India’s largest dairy suppliers, distributes more than 50 lakh litres of milk daily, with over 35 lakh litres consumed in the Delhi-NCR region alone. The company markets milk and dairy products under the Mother Dairy brand, edible oils under Dhara and fresh and frozen horticulture products under Safal.

Founded in 1974 as part of Operation Flood the landmark dairy development programme that transformed India into a milk-surplus nation the company operates nine milk processing plants, four horticulture facilities and works with 16 associated edible oil units. Mother Dairy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB).
