Olectra Greentech has announced a strategic partnership with Dassault Systèmes to strengthen its digital product development capabilities in electric mobility through the adoption of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform.
The platform will integrate product design, simulation, manufacturing, and lifecycle management into a unified digital ecosystem, enabling a model-based engineering approach aligned with global OEM standards. It is expected to support virtual simulation and validation before physical prototyping, improve coordination between engineering and manufacturing teams, and reduce product development timelines.
Olectra said the collaboration comes amid increased investments in new electric bus and truck platforms, with over 3,800 electric vehicles currently deployed across India and an order book exceeding 10,000 units. Company leadership noted that the initiative will help accelerate innovation and enhance precision in next-generation EV development.
Mahesh Babu, Managing Director of Olectra Greentech, said the partnership will enable the company to develop future products aligned with global benchmarks while significantly improving speed, accuracy, and efficiency across engineering workflows.
Deepak NG, Managing Director, India at Dassault Systèmes, stated that the collaboration reflects the automotive industry’s shift toward integrated, platform-based and virtual engineering-led development processes, supporting the transition to more advanced and software-driven vehicle architectures.
