Rasmanthan Opens in Mumbai: A Symphony of Flavours, Served Unlimited
Rasmanthan a new premium pure-vegetarian Gujarati and Rajasthani thali restaurant has opened in Andheri West, bringing back the tradition of shared celebratory Indian meals.

Founded by hospitality veterans Jino Joseph and Gee Varghese, the restaurant aims to revive the grandeur of Indian dining with a focus on culture, community and warm service.

The restaurant offers a 28-dish thali that changes daily, prepared from scratch using seasonal and festive ingredients. Dishes range from classics like Dal Baati Churma, Paneer Maharani, Surti Dal and Masala Khichdi to desserts such as Moong Dal Halwa, Jalebi with Rabdi and Shrikhand. Each day presents a new combination of starters, mains, breads and desserts.

A team of chefs from Rajasthan leads the kitchen, starting each morning with a traditional pooja before preparing the day’s menu rooted in family recipes and regional tradition. Rasmanthan serves its food on engraved kansa thalis, inspired by royal Indian dining customs. Kansa valued in Ayurveda for its digestive benefits, adds a traditional touch to the restaurant’s experience, blending heritage with modern hospitality.

“A thali has always been India’s most heartfelt expression of hospitality, comforting, and meant to be shared. With Rasmanthan, we wanted to give that tradition the premium stage it truly deserves.” says Jino Joseph, Founder Rasamanthan.

“Luxury to us isn’t about exclusivity it lies in generosity, warmth and the joy of being cared for. At Rasmanthan, we combine the elegance of fine dining with the soul of home” adds Gee Varghese Founder Rasamanthan.

The space is designed to enhance the thali experience. The interiors use rich green and rust tones that reflect the colours and vibrancy of Indian cuisine. Soft lighting highlights each dish, while mandala artwork adds a calm, balanced feel. Materials like polished marble, warm wood and brass details create a mix of comfort and subtle luxury.

Rasmanthan aims to be more than just a place to eat. It focuses on bringing people together through shared meals and familiar flavours. Every part of the experience from the changing thali to the warm service celebrates India’s tradition of hospitality. It is a place where food feels like home, where traditions are honoured and every meal encourages guests to slow down and enjoy the moment.
