Raymond Lifestyle has announced the appointment of two senior leaders, Thomas Varghese and Satyaki Ghosh, as part of its next phase of leadership consolidation and growth, following a carefully managed transition after the exit of Sunil Kataria in April 2025, as confirmed by company official.

During the interim phase, operational continuity was ensured by senior internal leaders. Neeraj Nagpal oversaw apparel, Made-to-Measure and The Raymond Shop, Vipul Mathur took on additional responsibility for Ethnix alongside the home business, and Debdeep Sinha was elevated as Chief Business Officer – New Business. The focus remained on operational discipline, store performance and safeguarding brand momentum.

With stability now firmly in place, Raymond has moved to strengthen its leadership bench with appointments that bring deep operating experience, institutional maturity and long-term strategic thinking.

Thomas Varghese, who recently retired from the Aditya Birla Group after over four decades in industry, will join Raymond Lifestyle as Advisor to the Chairman & Managing Director, effective January 15, 2026. His role will be advisory and strategic in nature, supporting the leadership team on complex business challenges, participating in strategic reviews and driving special initiatives as assigned by the board. Varghese brings extensive experience across manufacturing, marketing, retail and P&L leadership, including a pivotal role as MD & CEO of Aditya Birla Retail, where he helped scale multiple food and grocery formats across India. His deep understanding of high-volume retail, store economics and supply-chain intensity is expected to add significant value as Raymond Lifestyle enters a structurally anchored growth phase.

Complementing this strategic oversight, Satyaki Ghosh has been appointed to lead Raymond Lifestyle, filling the leadership gap that had existed since April 2025. Ghosh most recently served as CEO of the Cellulosic Fashion Yarn business at Grasim Industries, where he led a $350-million global operation catering to leading apparel, home textile and technical textile customers. His career spans end-to-end leadership across procurement, manufacturing, R&D, supply chain, sales, marketing, finance and people management, along with prior senior roles at L’Oréal, PepsiCo and Spencer’s Retail.

Together, the appointments of Varghese and Ghosh signal Raymond Lifestyle’s intent to move beyond transition into a more execution-focused and institutionally strong phase of growth—balancing strategic depth with operational rigour across its apparel, textiles and franchise-led retail portfolio.
