The collaboration marks a significant expansion of Reliance Retail’s beauty portfolio and officially brings one of Europe’s most popular mass-market beauty labels to India.
Under the agreement, Reliance Retail will make essence products available nationwide through its omnichannel network, including its online platforms, dedicated beauty stores, and partner retail formats. The company will oversee the brand’s rollout across key beauty destinations, positioning essence to tap into India’s rapidly growing cosmetics sector.
Founded in 2002, essence is sold in around 90 countries and is known for its affordable pricing, frequent product innovation, and strong cruelty-free stance. The brand updates nearly half its product range twice a year and frequently launches trend-driven limited editions. More than 80% of essence products are manufactured in Europe, enhancing its appeal among value-conscious yet quality-seeking consumers.
