This education program aims to strengthen science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) education in Tamil Nadu. Through this initiative Samsung will strengthen school infrastructure, enable STEM and digital education, train teachers and support holistic student development in 10 government schools in districts like Kanchipuram and Ranipet Tamil Nadu. This collaboration will benefit over 3,000 students.
Additionally as part of ‘DigiArivu’ Samsung will implement a community-centered model to transform the learning ecosystem in Tier-2 and Tier-3 districts. The program is designed based on research by the United Nations GCNI with state-run schools, input from Samsung employees at the Sriperumbudur manufacturing plant and community members in the area to ensure the intervention meets real-world needs.
The program will also enhance the existing learning ecosystem in schools in key areas through Building as Learning Aid (BaLA) designs and provide the necessary tools to promote digital learning among school children, while also initiating activity-based learning and teacher-training sessions on STEM subjects.
Samsung will also provide sports kits and set up a library with Tamil, English, and competitive exam books. It will also provide career guidance to Grade 12 students, organize speaking sessions with renowned educators, and organize health awareness camps for schoolchildren.
The Launch Event Was Successfully Organised
At the Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram and was attended by the Honourable Minister for School Education Government of Tamil Nadu Thiru Dr. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi and the District Collectors of Kanchipuram and Ranipet, who reaffirmed the State's responsibility and commitment to strengthen STEM education and enhance digital capabilities in the State.

In addition to DigiArivu, Samsung is further strengthening youth skill development in Tamil Nadu through the Samsung Innovation Campus program. This year under the SIC Samsung is training 5,000 students in Tamil Nadu in high-demand future-tech fields, such as Artificial Intelligence, Internet of Things, Big Data and Coding & Programming.
The program implemented in partnership with leading training and skill development organizations enables students across Tamil Nadu to acquire industry-relevant technical skills and enhance their employability. Through the SIC, Samsung is helping young learners in the state prepare for careers in the rapidly evolving future tech economy.
