Sharon Pais, former Chief Business Officer at Myntra, has rejoined Flipkart to lead its fashion vertical as Head of Business Unit Flipkart Fashion, according to sources familiar with the matter. Pais succeeds Kunal Gupta, who now heads Minutes, Flipkart’s Walmart-backed quick commerce arm following the exit of Kabeer Biswas.
Pais brings extensive experience with Flipkart, having spent nearly eight years with the company before joining Myntra in October 2021. She originally joined Flipkart in January 2014 as Sales and Revenue Lead for Books, later overseeing category marketing for books, general merchandise, and home, and most recently heading Flipkart’s loyalty and travel divisions prior to her Myntra tenure.
Her return comes amid significant leadership reshuffles across Flipkart and Myntra, and aligns with Flipkart’s strategic push toward profitability as it prepares for a potential IPO in 2026. Over the past fiscal year, Flipkart and its group companies have reduced operational losses, though revenue growth has remained moderate amid a slowdown in online retail demand.
Meanwhile, Myntra has experienced a remarkable turnaround, reporting a nearly 18-fold increase in profits in FY2024-25, fueled by a focus on high-margin fashion and beauty categories. Pais’s appointment is expected to strengthen Flipkart’s fashion business, one of the company’s most strategic verticals, as it seeks to consolidate market share ahead of its public listing.
Her return underscores Flipkart’s commitment to leadership continuity and category expertise, leveraging Pais’s deep understanding of both the company and India’s fashion e-commerce ecosystem.
