Youdha Expands Service Network in India L5 EV Market
Youdha, Lohia Global Group electric mobility brand, plans to expand its after-sales network and dealer base in India’s L5 commercial EV segment, aiming to increase aftermarket revenue from 10-12% to 30%.

Lohia Global Group electric mobility brand, Youdha, has announced a major plan to expand its after-sales network and dealership footprint to strengthen its position in India’s L5 commercial electric vehicle (EV) market. The company aims to increase its aftermarket revenue from the current 10–12% to around 30% over the next two years.

With over 1.3 million electric autos and cargo loaders operational across India, the demand for service and spare parts has surged. To meet this demand, Youdha plans to establish more than 500 service and sales touchpoints, along with regional stocking hubs in Delhi-NCR, Lucknow, and Kolkata. These hubs will stock high-demand components such as controllers, brake assemblies, tyres, and suspension parts to reduce vehicle downtime for operators.

Ayush Lohia, CEO of Youdha, said, “In the L5 category, an operator’s earnings are directly linked to vehicle availability. Our expansion in service and spare networks is aimed at meeting that expectation.”

The L5 segment, which includes passenger and cargo electric rickshaws, represents the largest share of EV adoption in India. High daily usage of these vehicles has created continuous demand for replacements and services, prompting companies to focus on lifecycle revenue.

Youdha will also launch a cloud-based predictive maintenance platform to monitor battery health, controller performance, motor behaviour, and temperature variations. This software-enabled system will help fleet operators reduce breakdowns and improve operational efficiency.

The company plans to open over 200 exclusive outlets across North, East, and Central India, along with 80–100 retail experience centres in Tier-2 and Tier-3 cities, which account for the majority of L5 EV sales.

On the product front, Youdha is expanding its portfolio with the E5 Passenger and E5 Cargo models, and plans to launch a new L5 platform in 2026 featuring modular batteries, improved integration, and telematics capabilities.

Currently, the L5 segment accounts for over half of India’s EV registrations, and electric three-wheeler sales are projected to grow 6–7% by FY26. The aftermarket opportunity for this segment is estimated at ₹4,500–₹5,000 crore over the next three years.

Ayush Lohia added, “Commercial EVs will continue to drive the highest growth in the near term. Our focus is to build a full-stack ecosystem covering vehicles, parts, diagnostics, and services.”
