Vishal Kuchanur

Vishal believes technology should serve a higher purpose, and at Varaha, he's proving it. As CTO and Co-Founder, he leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers building the world's largest smallholder-focused carbon platform. Under his leadership, the tech team has built end-to-end MRV infrastructure spanning remote sensing, AI-driven carbon modeling, and mobile-first farmer engagement tools, enabling partnerships with global leaders across technology, food, and agriculture. Before dedicating his career to climate action, Vishal spent over 15 years building India's digital infrastructure: scaling engineering teams at Flipkart and BigBasket, architecting agricultural tech at CropIn, and developing financial systems at Goldman Sachs. Vishal is an ISB alumnus and holds an engineering degree.
