Prasanna Rao

Prasanna Rao is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of experience in the agribusiness industry. Before joining Arya.ag, he worked as the CEO of Mahyco, a leading seed company in India, where he was responsible for managing operations, driving business growth, and expanding the company's presence in new markets. Prior to that, he held various senior management positions at Monsanto India, where he worked for over a decade. Education: Prasanna holds a Bachelor's degree in Agriculture and a Master's degree in Business Administration from the Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad.
Achievements and Awards: Under Prasanna's leadership, Arya.ag has become the largest and only profitable grain commerce platform in India, with a niche focus on offering integrated post-harvest services and financial solutions to smallholder farmers. He has also played a key role in building trust and transparency in the agricultural value chain by leveraging technology and data analytics to improve supply chain efficiencies and reduce wastage. Prasanna has been recognized for his contributions to the agribusiness industry and was awarded the 'CEO of the Year' award by the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) in 2020.
