Hemrajani, with his two friends Rajesh Balpande and Parikshit Dar, launched Bookmyshow.com in 1999, with a clear focus of providing cutting-edge digital solutions to the entertainment industry. Hemrajani has been a pioneer in bringing the concept of online-ticketing to India. Soon, Chase Capital Partners JP Morgan bought a stake in the firm.

Within a decade of its inception, Bigtree Entertainment's Bookmyshow.com today holds a 90 per cent market share in the online entertainment ticketing space. Apart from being a young entrepreneur, Ashish, is also a competitive sailor.He holds an MBA from Mumbai University. He started his career in 1997 at J. Walter Thompson (JWT) and worked with brands like Hindustan Petroleum and Ceat Tyres.
