
Ashok Leyland has delivered the first batch of its AVTR 55T electric trucks to ASAT Logistics Pvt Ltd. The initial batch consists of four trucks, part of a larger order for 24 units.
The handover ceremony was conducted by Sanjeev Kumar, President of MHCV at Ashok Leyland, who presented the keys to Arjun Sarda, CEO of ASAT Logistics. ASAT Logistics, a specialist in cement and aggregate transportation and the strategic logistics partner for Shree Cement, will deploy these electric trucks in its operations.
The AVTR 55T electric trucks feature lithium-ion battery technology and support dual-gun charging. They are compatible with standard trailers and superstructures, allowing easy integration into existing fleet operations. Additional features include automatic transmission, telematics systems, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), and safety equipment.
Sanjeev Kumar stated that the delivery reflects the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation and growing industry confidence in electric mobility technology.
Arjun Sarda expressed confidence in Ashok Leyland’s vehicle quality and performance, noting that the electric trucks will support ASAT Logistics and Shree Cement’s sustainability objectives.
