Beams Fintech Fund has led a INR 215 crore equity investment in Business Nextgen Finance Private Limited (BNF), a new-age NBFC focused on secured lending to MSMEs, alongside Baring Private Equity India, Saison Capital Pte. Ltd. and UNLEASH, with participation from other investors.
As part of the transaction, Beams Fintech Fund and its affiliates will collectively hold more than 26 per cent of BNF’s paid-up equity share capital on a fully diluted basis. The deal has received prior approval from the Reserve Bank of India.
The investment marks Beams’s seventh deal and adds BNF to its portfolio of financial services and fintech businesses. The capital will strengthen BNF’s base as it scales its technology-led secured lending platform and expands into underserved MSME markets across India.
Founded by Pankaj Poddar, BNF received its RBI Certificate of Registration in September 2025. The transaction does not result in any change in management or day-to-day control with Poddar continuing as Promoter, Managing Director and CEO.
“We are excited to partner with Pankaj and the BNF team in their journey to build a high-quality MSME lending franchise. We believe BNF is well positioned to build a scalable and sustainable platform,” said Sagar Agarwal, Founder & Managing Partner, Beams Fintech Fund.
“The successful completion of our INR 215 crore equity raise is a significant milestone for BNF. This capital will enable us to accelerate our growth while remaining committed to strong governance and long-term value creation,” said Pankaj Poddar, Promoter, Managing Director & CEO, Business Nextgen Finance.
