BigBasket has secured a fresh ₹200-crore infusion to bolster its presence in India’s fast-growing online grocery and quick-commerce market. The company’s B2C arm, Innovative Retail Concepts, raised the funding through debt financing from Singapore-based DBS Bank.

The capital will be deployed to expand BigBasket’s quick-commerce service BB Now, which has been a key growth focus for the company. The funds will help scale its network of dark stores, strengthen its supply chain and enhance infrastructure and inventory management to support faster deliveries across more neighbourhoods.

The investment comes amid intensifying competition in the quick-delivery segment where BigBasket is vying for market share against several aggressive players. The fresh financing provides additional flexibility to scale operations efficiently, sharpen its private-label strategy, and deepen its presence in high-demand categories with strong repeat purchases.

India’s online grocery market continues to grow steadily, fuelled by wider digital adoption in metros as well as accelerating uptake in tier-2 and tier-3 cities. BigBasket aims to tap into this next phase of growth through improved delivery speed, tighter inventory planning and a broader service footprint. The latest capital infusion is expected to support the company’s long-term expansion plans and reinforce its position in a highly competitive sector.
