EV mobility company Bijliride is expanding its presence across India through its franchise-led growth model. The company currently has 20 active franchise partners, with most operating in key EV adoption markets such as Hyderabad and Pune. In addition, around 20 new partnerships are in the final stages, taking the company closer to its target of building a network of 50 franchise partners by the end of Q3.
Bijliride is using partnerships as a key channel to take its EV mobility operations to different cities and markets. Under the franchise model, local partners can establish and operate EV mobility hubs while leveraging Bijliride’s broader EV ecosystem and operational capabilities.
In the second phase of its franchise expansion, the company will focus on markets across Western and Northern India. The expansion is aimed at addressing the growing demand for commercial electric vehicle fleets in these regions and strengthening Bijliride’s presence across key markets.
Alongside its existing franchise model, Bijliride is also piloting a Master Franchise Model in Rajasthan and Maharashtra. Under this model, the company is evaluating market-level partnerships to support expansion across larger geographical areas. The pilot will help the company assess the scalability of the model while maintaining operational standards.
Shivam Sisodiya, Co-Founder and CEO of Bijliride, said that the franchise model is becoming an important part of the company’s strategy to scale EV mobility across India. He added that the 20 active franchise partners, along with 20 partnerships in the final stages, provide a strong foundation for reaching the target of 50 franchise partners.
The company franchise expansion is part of its broader plan to build a more accessible and distributed EV ecosystem for delivery riders, gig workers and last-mile mobility users. Bijliride plans to continue evaluating partnership models that can support faster and effective expansion in India’s growing EV mobility market.
