Electric mobility company BikeWo Green Tech Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to acquire a majority stake in ENlite EV Care, an electric vehicle service and maintenance company. The proposed acquisition marks a significant step in strengthening BikeWo's integrated electric mobility ecosystem.
The company aims to expand its growing electric mobility portfolio by adding organised vehicle servicing, maintenance and lifecycle support. As part of the plan, BikeWo intends to establish a network of EV Care Centres across India, primarily catering to B2B customers and commercial electric vehicle fleets.
According to the company, these EV Care Centres will offer a comprehensive range of services, including preventive maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, battery and electrical system support, periodic servicing, and fleet uptime management. The initiative is expected to help fleet operators reduce vehicle downtime, improve performance and optimise operating costs.
BikeWo and ENlite EV Care will also jointly evaluate suitable locations and operating models for the proposed service centres. In addition, the companies plan to integrate digital technologies such as vehicle health monitoring, predictive maintenance, digital service scheduling, digital maintenance records and fleet performance tracking to create a more efficient, technology-driven service ecosystem.
Commenting on the development, Hiten Pal Saklani, Chief Executive Officer of BikeWo Green Tech Limited, said, "As we scale our electric mobility business, building a dependable service and maintenance ecosystem is just as important as expanding vehicle deployment. The proposed acquisition of ENlite EV Care will strengthen our capabilities across the EV value chain. By integrating maintenance and lifecycle support into our platform, we aim to improve fleet uptime, enhance service quality and deliver greater operational efficiency for commercial fleet operators."
The company said the proposed acquisition aligns with its long-term strategy of strengthening capabilities across electric mobility, fleet operations, logistics infrastructure, technology and renewable energy.
The transaction is yet to be finalised and remains subject to due diligence, valuation, execution of definitive agreements, and the necessary corporate, statutory and regulatory approvals.
