Eicher Trucks & Buses has unveiled two new passenger mobility solutions—the Skyline Pro E 12-metre Intercity Electric Bus and the Starline 2050 E Maxi Cab—at PRAWAAS 5.0 in Gandhinagar. Designed for intercity transport, regional mobility and tourism applications, the new vehicles aim to offer operators lower operating costs, higher vehicle uptime and an enhanced travel experience for passengers.
Built on Eicher's electric platform, the Skyline Pro E offers seating for 44 passengers along with a driver and co-driver. The bus is equipped with the My Eicher connected vehicle platform and features over 5 cubic metres of luggage space, dual-port fast charging, a 360-degree camera system, front disc and rear drum brakes, an air-suspended driver's seat, USB charging ports, ambient lighting, foldable trays and two 24-inch LED televisions for passenger comfort. S. Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VE Commercial Vehicles, said the Indian bus industry is undergoing a major transformation, with operators increasingly looking for mobility solutions that deliver operational efficiency, profitability, sustainability and a superior passenger experience.
The Starline 2050 E Maxi Cab, developed for regional tourism and group travel, comes with an 11+1+driver seating configuration. It features push-back seats, three-point seat belts, disc brakes, a collapsible steering column, an anti-roll bar on the rear axle and integration with the My Eicher connected vehicle platform. According to the company, both new products are designed to meet the evolving needs of intercity, tourism and regional transport operators while offering safer, more comfortable and efficient travel experiences.
