HCLTech Arm to Acquire Croatia-Based Robotiq.ai

HCL Technologies’ software division, HCLSoftware, will acquire Croatia-based enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) platform provider Robotiq.ai for an enterprise value of EUR 9 million (approximately INR 98 crore), the company said in a regulatory filing. The all-cash transaction will be executed through HCL Technologies Austria GmbH, a step-down wholly owned subsidiary of HCLTech, which will acquire 100% of Robotiq.ai’s outstanding equity. The deal is expected to close by the end of November 2026.

Robotiq.ai, incorporated in Croatia in August 2018 and headquartered in Zagreb, provides enterprise-grade RPA capabilities to automate repetitive processes across business applications, serving banks, insurers and telecom companies. The company reported revenue of EUR 1.4 million and profit after tax of EUR 0.2 million in 2025. Its platform is built with ISO-certified security, audit logs and flexible deployment options.

HCLSoftware said it is seeing rising enterprise demand for AI systems capable of both reasoning and executing tasks reliably, and plans to integrate Robotiq.ai’s capabilities into its HCL UnO Agentic platform, enabling AI-driven workflows to automate tasks in applications that lack adequate APIs.
