Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has partnered with Jio-bp to strengthen its electric vehicle (EV) charging ecosystem. Under the partnership, Jio-bp’s pulse EV charging stations will be integrated with the myHyundai app, enabling EV users to discover and access a larger charging network through a single platform.
The integration will add more than 7,000 Jio-bp pulse charging points across over 300 cities to the myHyundai app. According to Hyundai, this will take the total number of EV charging points accessible through the app in India to more than 37,000.
As part of the partnership, HMIL’s high-capacity DC fast chargers will also be gradually made available through the Jio-bp pulse charge pro app. The companies said the integration will enable EV users to access both charging networks through their respective digital platforms.
Jio-bp currently operates more than 7,000 active EV charging points across over 300 cities. According to the company, several of its charging stations are located along major national highways, supporting EV users travelling across cities and long distances.
The Jio-bp charging network includes DC fast chargers ranging from 60kW to 480kW. The company said its EV charging network has an uptime of around 96%.
HMIL had earlier announced access to more than 30,000 charging points through the myHyundai app. With the addition of the Jio-bp network, the number of public EV charging points accessible through the platform has increased to more than 37,000.
Hyundai said the myHyundai app can be used by EV users, irrespective of vehicle brand, to discover and access charging points. This positions the platform as a broader EV charging access solution for users across India.
HMIL is also expanding its own DC fast-charging infrastructure. The company currently has 183 operational DC fast-charging stations and plans to increase this network to 600 stations by 2030.
Hyundai and Jio-bp will also explore opportunities to introduce special customer offers in the future as part of the partnership. However, the companies have not yet disclosed details of any such offers.
