Expanding its boutique leisure portfolio in Maharashtra, Indian Hotels Company (IHCL) has signed a new Tree of Life resort in Kamshet. The property will undergo extensive renovation and its room inventory will be doubled to align with the brand’s experiential hospitality offerings.
The upcoming resort is set to feature 30 keys, immersive nature-centric experiences and dedicated event spaces overlooking the surrounding scene.
Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President Real Estate & Development, IHCL, said, “The Kamshet
Lonavala Pawna corridor has evolved into a well-established drive-to leisure market, supported by consistent demand across segments including short-stay vacations, social celebrations and corporate events. Its proximity to Mumbai and Pune continues to shape demand patterns, with guests seeking immersive, nature-led experiences. This signing marks Tree of Life’s entry into this market, aligning with the brand’s focus on offering intimate, experience-driven stays and we are delighted to partner with Kalyan Borade for this project.”
Nestled amid the scenic Sahyadri hills, Tree of Life Kamshet will offer 30 well-appointed keys with panoramic hillside views. The resort will include an all-day dining restaurant with a bar, alongside leisure amenities such as a swimming pool and an outdoor nature spa.
Designed to cater to both social celebrations and corporate events, the property will also feature dedicated venues including a glasshouse with adjoining lawns and an amphitheatre. Guests will additionally have access to curated experiential activities ranging from organic farming and wine and jam making to bespoke lakeside dining experiences.
