360 ONE and Crisil Intelligence unveiled the 2026 Wealth Creators List, featuring 3,040 individuals worth INR 104 lakh crore.


360 ONE, in collaboration with Crisil Intelligence, unveiled the 360 ONE Wealth Creators List 2026 which reveals that 3,040 individuals own a combined wealth of INR 104 lakh crore. The Ambani heirs Anant Ambani, Isha Ambani and Akash Ambani – continue to occupy the top three positions on the list, each with wealth exceeding INR 2.75 lakh crore.

The report also highlights the growing dominance of first-generation entrepreneurs, with 1,696 self-made wealth creators outnumbering 1,290 legacy entrepreneurs, heirs and stewards.

Commenting on the launch, Karan Bhagat, Founder, MD & CEO, 360 ONE, said, “Wealth creation in India is many stories, unfolding at once, across cities, sectors and generations. The report shows that industrial conglomerates remain the largest wealth-generating sector, with 30 individuals accounting for 14.6% of the total wealth and an average wealth of nearly INR 50,000 crore per individual. Pharmaceuticals ranked next, with 273 individuals holding 11.3% of the total wealth, followed by financial services, where 291 individuals account for 7.9%.

On the other hand, traditional sectors such as pharmaceuticals, construction machinery and engineering continue to contribute 83% of the wealth featured on the list, emerging industries including aerospace & defence, fintech and renewable energy now account for 15.5%, reflecting the steady expansion of India’s new-age economy.

Priti Arora, President & Business Head, Crisil Intelligence, adds, “As knowledge partner, Crisil Intelligence unearthed INR 330 lakh crore of wealth, of which the list identifies 3,040 individuals holding INR 104 lakh crore. With new-age and green sectors scaling, government support is making domestic manufacturing viable; the list is now funding its own succession, as founders recycle capital into early-stage ventures. As this wealth compounds and the data deepens with each edition, the 360 ONE Wealth Creators List will only grow stronger, broader and deeper.”

Geographically, Mumbai continues to dominate India’s wealth landscape, with 802 wealth creators accounting for 38.4% of the total wealth. Ahmedabad ranks second with 8.7%, driven by industrial conglomerates and pharmaceutical businesses, while Bengaluru follows with 8.1%, backed by technology and engineering companies. New Delhi and Gurugram complete the top five cities, which together account for over 70% of the total wealth featured in the report.

Study also underlines the growing role of women in wealth creation. 738 women feature on the list, collectively holding 22.6% of the total wealth, while 47 of the 183 dollar-billionaires identified are women. Among them, 51 women under the age of 40 hold an average wealth of INR 6,542 crore, highlighting the emergence of a younger generation of women wealth creators.

The list spans an age range of 7 to 96 years with a median age of 57. It includes 285 individuals below the age of 40 and 141 individuals above 80, reflecting both the rise of new entrepreneurs and the enduring presence of multi-generational business families.

Apart from wealth creators list 360 ONE also released the ’360 ONE Top 100 Families List 2026’, which estimates the combined wealth of India’s leading business families at INR 76.5 lakh crore. The top 10 families account for 49% of the total wealth, led by Gautam Adani & Family (INR 9,08,178 crore), followed by Mukesh Dhirubhai Ambani & Family (INR 8,93,622 crore) and Sunil Bharti Mittal & Family (INR 4,96,687 crore).

The company also released a companion report, “Portfolio Within the Portrait,” which analyses how India’s wealthiest families have managed their capital between 2022 and 2026. Based on a representative sample of 360 ONE client portfolios, the study found that allocations to safer assets declined from more than 25% in 2022 to around 16% by March 2026, indicating a gradual shift towards real-return assets as wealthy families embraced more disciplined risk-taking.
