JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar Names Ashis Chattopadhyay as Cluster Director of Finance

In this role, Chattopadhyay will manage the finance operations for eight Marriott hotels under Chalet Hotels Limited, with responsibility for financial strategy, governance structures, compliance requirements and overall financial performance across the cluster.

Chattopadhyay brings more than two decades of experience in finance leadership with a track record in managing multi-property portfolios and implementing structured financial controls. His approach focuses on disciplined financial management and outcome-driven decision-making in complex hospitality operations.

He began his career at Deloitte, where he developed expertise in audit and advisory services. Over the years, he has held senior finance positions with several global hospitality brands, including Four Seasons, Hyatt, COMO Group and Marriott International. Across these roles, he has led finance transformation initiatives, strengthened internal control systems and supported operational efficiency improvements.

Before this appointment, Chattopadhyay served as Multi-Property Director of Finance for Sheraton Grand Bangalore Hotel at Brigade Gateway and Four Points Kochi, Infopark. In these positions, he oversaw finance functions across multiple assets while aligning brand standards with ownership objectives.

His leadership has been recognised through multiple regional and market-level awards, including honours for finance transformation and technology adoption in South Asia. These achievements underline his focus on modernising finance functions while maintaining strong governance and risk management frameworks.

The appointment reflects JW Marriott Mumbai Sahar’s focus on reinforcing financial leadership to support long-term asset performance and operational stability. Chattopadhyay’s experience in building future-ready finance teams and managing large hotel clusters is expected to contribute to sustained value creation across the portfolio.
