Marriott International has officially introduced Series by Marriott, a new regionally inspired, globally connected collection brand — and India is the first market in the world to host it. In a major expansion move, Marriott has launched 26 hotels in one go under The Fern Hotels & Resorts, Series by Marriott, adding more than 1,900 rooms across 23 cities.

Series by Marriott brings locally recognized hotel groups into the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio while maintaining the reliable standards the brand is known for worldwide. Aimed at “global domestic” travelers, the brand focuses on doing the basics exceptionally well — delivering comfortable rooms, warm service, and experiences that reflect each region’s identity.

The Fern Hotels & Resorts becomes the first group to debut under Series by Marriott. Known for its eco-sensitive approach and local charm, the initial 26 properties span a mix of business and leisure destinations — from Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, and Kochi to Mussoorie, Daman, Jim Corbett and beyond. Each property is designed to match its location’s unique character while meeting Marriott’s service expectations.

India’s booming domestic travel market made it the ideal launchpad, said Kiran Andicot, Senior Vice President, South Asia, Marriott International. “Series by Marriott is about celebrating regional stories while delivering the consistency our guests expect. These 26 openings mark the beginning of a broader rollout, with over 100 planned in the coming year.”

Key openings include The Fern Residency Ahmedabad (69 rooms), The Fern Residency Bengaluru (79 rooms), The Fern Seaside Tent Resort Daman (31 rooms), The Fern Sardar Sarovar Resort Ekta Nagar (169 rooms), The Fern Jaipur (85 rooms), The Fern Mumbai Goregaon (94 rooms), The Fern Brentwood Resort Mussoorie (72 rooms), and multiple properties across Pune, Surat, Kolhapur, Jamnagar, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Solapur, and Hatgad.

Guests can expect thoughtful touches such as Grab n Go breakfasts, amenities for solo women travelers, evening turndown treats, a nightly lamp-lighting ritual, and a healthy sleep programme featuring almonds, raisins, and cumin-infused water.

Suhail Kannampilly, Managing Director of Concept Hospitality, said partner alignment and market enthusiasm have exceeded expectations. Backed by CG Hospitality, the partnership aims to rapidly scale the brand across India.

All properties participate in Marriott Bonvoy, ensuring seamless earning, redemption, and personalized app-enabled services for guests.
