Montra Electric, the clean mobility brand of the diversified Murugappa Group, has expanded its electric small commercial vehicle (eSCV) portfolio with the launch of two new variants — EVIATOR 350 (32kWh) and EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh). The expansion is backed by real-world insights from a fleet of over 600 vehicles that have collectively clocked more than 6.5 million kilometers, enabling the company to better understand diverse use cases and duty cycles.
While the existing 40kWh EVIATOR continues as the core offering, the new 32kWh variant is positioned as a “Last Mile Champion,” delivering up to 140 km range with high efficiency and a competitive price point, along with 99% uptime. On the other hand, the EVIATOR 350L+ (50kWh) is designed as a “Marathon Runner,” offering a certified range of over 300 km and a real-world range of 200+ km, making it ideal for inter-city logistics and specialized applications such as refrigerated transport and municipal services.
This launch builds on the success of the EVIATOR 350L, introduced in January 2025, which captured over 30% market share in the 3.5-ton segment within just 11 months. Moving beyond a one-size-fits-all approach, Montra Electric is now adopting a duty-cycle and application-based vehicle strategy, allowing fleet operators to choose battery configurations that align with their specific operational needs.
Jalaj Gupta, Managing Director, Montra Electric, stated that the next phase of EV adoption will be driven by how well vehicles integrate into real-world operations. Saju Nair, CEO of the e-SCV division, added that the new variants will enable more precise deployment of EVs, improve fleet economics, and expand use cases across logistics operations.
With three battery options — 32kWh, 40kWh, and 50kWh — the EVIATOR becomes the only electric SCV platform in India designed around application-specific energy requirements. The new variants will soon be available across the country.
The EVIATOR range is priced starting at ₹14.58 lakh for the 32kWh variant and ₹16.86 lakh for the 50kWh variant, offering customers flexibility to choose based on their operational and financial goals.
