Battery circularity and lifecycle management company PeakAmp has announced a partnership with electric mobility firm Stefen Electric to strengthen end-of-life battery management. Under the agreement, PeakAmp will serve as the exclusive recycling and environmental compliance partner for Stefen Electric.
As part of the collaboration, PeakAmp will manage the entire battery lifecycle process, including collection, reverse logistics, recycling, and Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) compliance. All batteries will be processed in accordance with the guidelines of the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) and the Battery Waste Management Rules, 2022, ensuring safe and sustainable disposal.
Aditya Sudhanshu, Co-Founder & COO of PeakAmp, stated that as EV adoption accelerates, the need for robust battery waste management systems is becoming increasingly critical. He added that this partnership will ensure responsible and traceable handling of end-of-life batteries.
Vipin Nagar, Head – Commercials at Stefen Electric, emphasized that the collaboration will help build a strong and compliant framework for battery waste disposal and recycling, ensuring safety and efficiency across operations.
The partnership will enable Stefen Electric to maintain regulatory compliance while ensuring proper disposal and material recovery of battery waste. It will also enhance traceability across the battery lifecycle, contributing to a more organized and transparent recycling ecosystem.
With India’s EV sector expanding rapidly, the number of batteries reaching end-of-life is expected to rise significantly. Through this collaboration, PeakAmp and Stefen Electric aim to develop scalable, compliant, and environmentally responsible solutions for battery waste management.
