AI-driven data privacy company Redacto has raised ₹12 crore in a seed round led by PeerCapital and Antler India. The company will use the funds to enhance its AI capabilities, strengthen its product team, and expand enterprise adoption across India.

AI-based data privacy and governance platform Redacto has raised ₹12 crore in its seed funding round. The investment was led by PeerCapital and Antler India, with participation from select angel investors. The company plans to utilize the capital to bolster its AI capabilities, expand its product and engineering teams, and strengthen its enterprise presence across India.

The fundraise comes at a crucial time as India prepares to implement the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, which is set to transform how organizations collect, store, and manage personal data. Redacto aims to help Indian enterprises navigate this new regulatory landscape by turning privacy compliance into a strategic advantage built on trust and transparency.

Founded in 2025 by Shashank Karincheti and Amit Kumar, Redacto helps enterprises automate privacy compliance, secure sensitive data, and ensure third-party accountability through AI-powered automation. Its customers include leading payment companies and NBFCs, with growing interest from banks, fintechs, and insurance firms seeking DPDP readiness and globally aligned compliance solutions.

Shashank Karincheti, Co-Founder and CPO of Redacto, said, “The DPDP Act marks the beginning of a privacy-first era for Indian enterprises. Our mission is to make privacy practical, continuous, and scalable — turning data protection from a compliance burden into a foundation of trust and business growth.” Amit Kumar, Co-Founder and CEO, added, “AI isn’t just transforming business—it’s redefining it. Our AI-first platform provides end-to-end data governance automation, enabling enterprises to innovate without the burden of compliance.”

Karthik Prabhakar, Managing Partner at PeerCapital, said, “Data has become central to every enterprise, and its protection is more critical than ever. Redacto stands at the heart of this transformation, and the team’s deep expertise in cybersecurity and enterprise technology positions them well to build the privacy infrastructure of the next decade.”

Redacto suite of AI-powered products includes Privacy Engine (for automated data mapping and classification), ConsentFlow (for user consent management), VendorShield (for third-party risk monitoring), and TrustCentre (for transparent compliance reporting). Together, these modules enable enterprises to maintain real-time visibility of their privacy posture, achieve greater operational efficiency, and ensure cost-effective compliance.
