Third Wave Coffee has marked a key milestone in its growth journey with the opening of its 200th café in Sindhi Society, Chembur, Mumbai. The launch takes the brand’s Mumbai footprint to 40 outlets, underlining the city’s importance in its nationwide expansion strategy.
Founded in 2016, Third Wave Coffee has been scaling rapidly across India and is now preparing for its next phase of growth, with plans to add 100 new cafés by 2026. The latest Mumbai opening follows recent expansions in Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Chennai, Mangalore, Mysuru and Ahmedabad, as the company targets high-density residential areas, commercial hubs and major travel corridors such as airports and national expressways.
Chembur was selected for the milestone outlet due to its strong café culture and a high concentration of young professionals and students. The neighbourhood already hosts one Third Wave Coffee café, and the second location signals continued customer demand in the area.
Beyond its café network, Third Wave Coffee is also expanding its retail offerings. An enlarged roastery and innovation lab in Bengaluru is supporting the development of products such as easy-to-brew coffee bags, signature blends, brewing equipment and branded merchandise, enabling customers to engage with the brand beyond its physical stores.
