Titan Registers Strong Start to FY27, Reports 40% Growth in Q1
Festive and Akshaya Tritiya Demand Drives Broad-Based Growth; North America Fuels International Expansion

Titan Company Limited has announced a strong start to FY27, reporting a 40% year-on-year growth in consolidated total income for the first quarter, reaching ₹20,753 crore. The performance builds on the momentum of an exceptional FY26 and reflects robust demand across its key consumer businesses.

Profit Before Tax (PBT) rose 64% to ₹2,429 crore, with margins improving to 11.7%. Adjusted for the impact of custom duty gains on gold, PBT grew 37% compared to Q1FY26. Profit After Tax increased 63% to ₹1,777 crore.

Titan’s jewellery business remained the key growth engine, with revenue rising 43% to ₹18,253 crore (excluding bullion and Digi-gold sales). Growth was driven by strong festive and Akshaya Tritiya demand, healthy buyer growth, larger ticket sizes and continued success of Titan’s exchange programmes.

The India jewellery business grew 38% to ₹16,943 crore, while the international jewellery business surged 136% to ₹1,309 crore. Tanishq witnessed strong traction in North America and double-digit growth across GCC markets, while Damas continued its gradual recovery.

During the quarter, Titan expanded its jewellery network by adding 33 net stores in India, including Tanishq, Mia, beYon and CaratLane outlets. Tanishq also opened two new stores in the GCC region. Titan’s watches division reported revenue of ₹1,543 crore, registering 21% growth over Q1FY26. The performance was led by continued premiumisation and strong demand for analog watches, which recorded mid-twenties growth. The smartwatches category, however declined in single digits.

The division achieved an EBIT of ₹295 crore with a margin of 19.1% and added 34 net stores during the quarter across Titan World, Fastrack, Helios and Helios Luxe formats.

Titan also showcased its fine watchmaking capabilities at the prestigious Watches & Wonders exhibition in Geneva. Key launches included the Nebula Genesis Starburst, a diamond-set timepiece inspired by the birth of a star, and Zero Hour, Titan’s first professional diver’s collection powered by the in-house 7A00 calibre. The Edge Ultraslim Mechanical and Titan Wandering Meteor were selected as the brand’s official entries to the Grand Prix d’Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG).

Titan Eye+ delivered a strong quarter with revenue growing 21% to ₹289 crore. Growth was driven by healthy demand across product categories and continued premiumisation. The business recorded EBIT of ₹24 crore with an 8.3% margin and expanded its footprint through six new Titan Eye+ stores and one Runway store.

Titan’s emerging businesses portfolio, comprising SKINN Fragrances, IRTH Women’s Bags and Taneira, reported combined revenue growth of 18% to ₹328 crore. While SKINN and Fastrack fragrances continued to witness strong volume momentum and IRTH recorded robust growth, Taneira’s revenue remained largely flat during the quarter. The combined businesses recorded a loss of ₹39 crore.

During the quarter, Tanishq strengthened its portfolio with the launch of ‘Hues’, a collection featuring 100% natural coloured gemstones such as emeralds, amethysts and tanzanites set in 18-karat gold. The collection is designed for expressive, everyday wear and further enhances the brand’s premium offering.

Commenting on the performance, Ajoy Chawla, Managing Director, Titan Company Limited, said:“Q1FY27 was a strong opening quarter for us, with our consumer businesses registering 40% year-on-year growth. Through innovation and design-led differentiation, our portfolio of brands across Jewellery, Watches, EyeCare and Emerging Businesses continue to deliver exceptional value to customers seeking premium offerings. Our TEAL business is growing from strength to strength, raising the bar of excellence in the high-precision engineering sectors and delivering best-in-class value for customers. The broad-based performance notwithstanding, the quarter demanded significant agility on multiple fronts from navigating gold prices and changes in the duty structure to managing geopolitical headwinds across our international operations. We remain focused on brand investment, customer engagement and disciplined execution, which continue to define Titan’s growth journey.”
