Tata Group-backed retailer Trent Ltd reported a strong performance in the December quarter, with standalone revenue rising 17% year-on-year to Rs 5,220 crore, according to a regulatory filing on Monday. The company had posted revenue of Rs 4,466 crore in the same quarter last year.
The growth was supported by an aggressive expansion of its retail footprint. During the third quarter, Trent opened 17 new Westside stores and added 48 Zudio outlets.
As of December 31, the company’s store network comprised 278 Westside stores, 854 Zudio stores—including four located in the UAE—and 32 outlets under other lifestyle concepts.
For the nine months ended December 31, Trent’s standalone revenue stood at Rs 14,604 crore, marking an 18% increase from Rs 12,368 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year. During this period, the retailer added 30 Westside stores and 89 Zudio stores, underscoring its continued focus on scale and reach.
