Zen Mobility and Delhivery Limited have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to deploy purpose-built electric vehicles across India over the next 3–5 years. The partnership aims to scale the deployment to several thousand EVs nationwide.
The collaboration builds on an existing relationship of over two years, during which around 500 Zen Mobility EVs have already been deployed in Delhivery’s network. These vehicles have demonstrated up to 35% reduction in last-mile logistics costs and achieved over 90–95% uptime in real-world operations.
Under the new agreement, electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheelers—designed, engineered, and manufactured in India by Zen Mobility—will be deployed. These vehicles will be customised to meet Delhivery’s city-specific and route-specific requirements across Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 markets.
The rollout will be supported by Zen Mobility’s fleet leasing arm, Zen Flo, which will manage deployment and ongoing fleet operations. The companies estimate that the initiative will help eliminate tens of thousands of tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually, making it one of India’s most impactful green logistics efforts.
Commenting on the development, Namit Jain said the partnership validates the company’s purpose-built EV approach, delivering cost efficiency, reliability, and sustainability.
Prashant Gazipur, Senior Vice President – Last Mile Operations at Delhivery, added that electrification is a key part of the company’s strategy to enhance efficiency and sustainability, while also improving earnings for delivery partners and offering low-carbon delivery options to customers.
