Vijay Kalantri, Chairman & Managing Director, Balaji Infra Projects Limited, is a well-known leading industrialist with a vast experience in the field of finance and infrastructure.

His business acumen and farsightedness have propelled him to take on the challenging venture of Dighi Port – an integrated infrastructure project. Maharashtra’s first Greenfield Port at Dighi, Raigad, – the first phase of the port is near ready and is operational.

Besides being an industrialist and heading the Balaji Group as the Chairman and Managing Director, Kalantri is also the President of All India Association of Industries, Vice Chairman of World Trade Centre, Mumbai, and is the Director of International of World Trade Centre, New York.

As the AIAI President, he is actively involved in bringing to fore the AIAI as the representative body of large, medium- and small-scale industries involved in all major industrial sectors. Through his determination, he has made it possible for the AIAI to become a leading industry association in Maharashtra with representations on major government advisory boards.

He has also served on the Board of Directors of several major nationalised banks and is a member of the Reserve Bank of India’s Standing Committee on Small Scale Industry, Exchange Control and the All India Export Advisory Committee. He is also on the National Advisory Board of Small Industries Development Bank of India and the Advisory Board of Securities and Exchange Board of India.

He is also a member of the Honorable Prime Minister’s Task Force, Small and Medium Enterprises, State Gramin Corporation, Advisory Board of Corporate Governance Committee of SEBI and the Central Council of Customs and Excise.
