360 One Asset Raises INR 1,000 Cr to Invest Across Defence and Space Tech
The fund aims to invest in 15 to 20 companies working across defence, space, aerospace, and allied strategic technology segments.

Mumbai-based investment firm 360 One Asset has announced the raise of an INR 1,000 crore in a multi stage fund focused on supporting companies operating in India’s defence and space ecosystem.

The fund is designed to provide capital across the lifecycle, ranging from venture funding to private equity and growth stage investments.

According to the firm, the fund will invest in 15 to 20 companies working across defence, space, aerospace, and allied strategic technology segments.

It plans to back businesses involved in areas such as defence electronics, space analytics, electronic warfare, and satellite based intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance. The company said it has already completed four investments under this fund.

The launch comes amid growing activity in India’s defence and space sectors. The firm highlighted that India’s defence budget for FY25 has reached INR 6.22 lakh crore, while defence exports have grown at a compounded annual growth rate of 84 percent between FY21 and FY25. It also pointed to the emergence of more than 250 private space companies in the country, reflecting increased participation from non government players.

As per a report by The Economic Times, the fund will follow an allocation strategy of around 20 percent towards venture investments, 30 percent towards growth equity, and 50 percent towards late stage private equity and pre-IPO opportunities. 360 One Asset said it has evaluated over 100 companies and currently has a strong pipeline for future investments.

The firm added that the fund’s investment approach will be supported by an advisory group comprising former leaders from India’s defence research establishment, national space agency, and a former defence secretary, bringing operational, policy, and strategic experience to the platform.
