Amazon India has introduced a dedicated AI-focused storefront for consumer electronics, designed to make it easier for customers to discover and shop for AI-enabled devices across categories.
The launch follows a sharp rise in interest, with the platform reporting a 60 percent year-on-year increase in searches related to AI-powered products. The new store curates a wide range of offerings including laptops, smartphones, smart TVs, air conditioners, refrigerators, washing machines, tablets and wearables from brands such as Apple, Samsung, OnePlus, ASUS, Haier and Bosch. The storefront is structured to simplify product discovery with clear, easy-to-understand explanations of AI features and their practical applications.
Data from Amazon indicates strong category-level momentum with searches for AI-enabled laptops and tablets growing by over 80 percent year on year. Television searches have increased by nearly 40 percent, while wearables continue to register robust double-digit growth. Notably, close to two-thirds of these searches are coming from tier 2 and tier 3 cities, pointing to a broadening adoption of AI-driven devices beyond metropolitan markets.
"At Amazon.in, our role goes beyond just offering the widest selection. It's about helping customers navigate a rapidly evolving technology landscape with clarity, so they can make confident decisions without having to decode technical specifications.
The AI Store does exactly that by bringing together an array of intelligent devices in one destination, with clear explanations of what each device's AI can do for you. Whether it's a student in Dibrugarh looking for a laptop that thinks ahead, a professional in Nagercoil upgrading to a smarter smartphone, or a family in Mumbai exploring televisions that adapt to how they watch, we want every customer to find an AI-powered device that genuinely simplifies their life. This AI Store is built for Bharat," said Zeba Khan, Director, Consumer Electronics, Amazon India.
The AI storefront has been structured around devices that deliver clear, practical benefits from artificial intelligence, ranging from laptops equipped with neural processing units for improved performance to smartphones leveraging on-device AI for enhanced privacy and efficiency. It also includes televisions with real-time picture optimisation and wearables that convert health data into meaningful, actionable insights.
The rollout complements Amazon India’s wider AI-led ecosystem, which features tools such as Rufus, its conversational shopping assistant, visual discovery via Lens AI, AI-generated review summaries and interactive capabilities like “View in Your Room” and price history tracking to help customers make more informed purchase decisions
Through this initiative, Amazon India is looking to simplify and broaden access to AI-powered technology, making it more understandable and relevant for consumers across the country.
