Delhi EV Policy 2026 has received 5,678 incentive applications, with 1,664 processed and Rs 4.8 crore disbursed so far. Electric two-wheelers account for 5,621 applications, highlighting strong demand for EV incentives in the segment.

The Delhi government has received 5,678 applications for incentives under the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 since its implementation. According to officials, 1,664 applications have been processed so far, with the government disbursing a total of Rs 4.8 crore under various incentive categories.

Electric two-wheelers accounted for the majority of processed applications. Of the 1,664 applications processed, 1,648 beneficiaries belonged to the electric two-wheeler category. The government has disbursed around Rs 4.6 crore in incentives for these vehicles. Meanwhile, 4,014 applications are currently under process.

According to government data, the EV Policy 2026, which came into effect on July 1, 2026, has received 5,678 applications so far. Of these, 5,621 applications are for electric two-wheelers, indicating strong demand for incentives in the segment.

Under the policy, buyers of electric two-wheelers are eligible for incentives of up to Rs 30,000 in the first year, Rs 20,000 in the second year and Rs 10,000 in the third year. The policy aims to encourage electric mobility and promote the adoption of new EVs in Delhi.

To promote green mobility, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched the online portal for the Delhi Electric Vehicle Policy 2026 on July 3. Consumers can use the portal to apply for incentives available on the purchase of electric vehicles.

The new EV policy also provides incentives for scrapping older vehicles and purchasing a new electric vehicle. Eligible owners can receive a Rs 1 lakh scrapping incentive for BS-IV or older cars and Rs 10,000 for eligible BS-IV or older two-wheelers. So far, 41 new EV buyers have received scrapping incentives.
