Mahindra has announced that its public electric vehicle charging network, Charge_iN, has reached 50 operational stations across the country, with more than 200 charging points now live. The company said the expansion is aimed at strengthening the EV charging infrastructure and supporting the growing adoption of electric vehicles.
The company has also operationalised its first joint charging station with Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited (HPCL). Located along the Mumbai-Pune Expressway, the facility follows the agreement signed between Mahindra and HPCL in March 2026 to establish high-capacity EV charging points across HPCL's nationwide retail fuel outlet network.
Mahindra plans to expand its Charge_iN network to 250 stations with around 1,000 charging points by December 2027. According to the company, several joint highway locations are currently at different stages of engineering and civil construction.
The Charge_iN network deploys 180kW dual-gun DC fast chargers designed for Mahindra electric SUV lineup, including the XEV 9e, BE 6 Sporteq and XEV 9S. Under standard operating conditions, the chargers can replenish the battery of these vehicles from 20% to 80% in approximately 20 minutes.
Developed alongside Mahindra electric vehicle portfolio, the Charge_iN network operates as an open ecosystem that is accessible to passenger EV users across multiple brands. Users can access the charging network through the Charge_iN by Mahindra app, Me4U platform, third-party aggregators and the HP eCharge app.
