Delhivery Elevates Vani Venkatesh to Deputy CEO; COO Ajith Pai to Exit
Delhivery is reshaping its leadership team with Vani Venkatesh taking on a larger role as the company prepares for its next phase.

Logistics company Delhivery has elevated Chief Business Officer (CBO) Vani Venkatesh to Deputy Chief Executive Officer (CEO) with immediate effect. In the meanwhile, Chief Operating Officer (COO) Ajith Pai Mangalore will leave Delhivery next month. The company said Pai has already transferred his responsibilities to its new operations leadership team.

Vani Venkatesh’s New Role

Venkatesh joined Delhivery in February 2025 as CBO and Key Managerial Personnel, with responsibility for the company’s revenue functions. As Deputy CEO, she will continue to oversee revenue and will additionally take charge of marketing and customer experience. She will also work closely with the company’s operations teams.

“Vani’s elevation reflects her increasing responsibilities and impact at Delhivery and is a part of our commitment to training executive leadership within the company to perform multiple new roles,” said Sahil Barua, Managing Director and CEO, Delhivery. Her promotion follows a series of senior leadership changes at Delhivery earlier this year.

Varun Bakshi was elevated to chief sales officer and Vikas Kapoor to chief strategy officer, while Arun Bagavathi, Prashant Gazipur and Nikhil Ummat were appointed chief operating officers. Sunny Raja was named chief procurement officer.

Ajith Pai To Exit After 13 Years

Pai joined Delhivery in 2013 and served as its Chief Financial Officer before becoming Chief Operating Officer in 2019.

“Ajith is a founding member of Delhivery and has made invaluable contributions to the company since the very beginning, as CFO and then as COO. We wish him all the best for his new endeavours in the future,” Barua said.

Pai added, “As the company continues to forge its path ahead with a very strong leadership team that has grown from within and more specifically as our new COOs have taken full control, I feel that now is the right time for me to step out and pursue some of my other entrepreneurial interests.”
