In a move aimed at enhancing nationwide logistics capabilities, DTDC Express has partnered with India Post to expand delivery coverage and strengthen supply chain infrastructure across India. The collaboration is already live across 21 states and has extended serviceability to more than 9,000 pin codes.
Formalising the partnership, India Post and DTDC signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on April 27 in New Delhi. The agreement was signed by Neeraj Kumar Jha, General Manager, Parcel Directorate, Department of Posts and Abhishek Chakraborty, Chief Executive Officer, DTDC, in the presence of Jatinder Sethi, National Channel Head, DTDC; Prashant Thakur, Head Cross Border, DTDC and Neha Bagchi, Head of Marketing, DTDC.
The alliance brings together India Post’s extensive nationwide reach and DTDC’s technology-led logistics network to build a more seamless and efficient delivery ecosystem. The collaboration is expected to strengthen logistics accessibility and service consistency, particularly as demand from non-metro and emerging markets continues to rise.
According to the company release, the partnership is aimed at enabling quicker and more dependable deliveries across underserved and remote geographies, helping businesses and consumers overcome location-based delivery constraints. The partnership is set to improve delivery speed, operational efficiency and service reliability across a wider network of pin codes. It also signals a growing trend towards integrated logistics models in India, combining extensive legacy reach with technology-driven infrastructure to create a stronger and more connected supply chain ecosystem.
For businesses, including MSMEs, D2C brands and large enterprises, the collaboration is expected to open access to broader markets while enabling smoother and more dependable deliveries, supporting business expansion efforts. Consumers, meanwhile, are likely to benefit from more reliable delivery experiences, reduced transit delays and better product accessibility across urban centres as well as remote regions.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Chakraborty, CEO, DTDC Express, said the collaboration represents a move towards a more unified logistics architecture that integrates scale, reach and efficiency to meet the evolving needs of businesses and consumers. The release added that the partnership supports the growing need for seamless logistics infrastructure in an increasingly connected and consumption-driven economy, positioning last-mile delivery as an enabler of growth.
