EKA Mobility Appoints Prashant Kumar Banerjee as Group Head

Commercial electric vehicle manufacturer EKA Mobility has appointed Prashant Kumar Banerjee as Group Head – Government & Corporate Affairs. In his new role, he will oversee government relations, corporate affairs, public policy and corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives across EKA Mobility and its group companies.

According to the company, Banerjee will focus on strengthening strategic partnerships with government agencies, industry bodies and key stakeholders. He will also lead regulatory advocacy efforts and drive engagement on policy matters to support the company's long-term growth.

Banerjee brings more than 36 years of experience in the automotive industry. Before joining EKA Mobility, he served as Executive Director at the Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM).

During his career, he has held leadership positions in product engineering, vehicle regulations and policy at Tata Motors, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR), Daewoo Motors, Toyota and IIT Bombay.

Since 2003, Banerjee has represented India at the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) WP.29 forums. He also chairs India's GRSG Working Group on vehicle construction regulations under the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).

EKA Mobility believes Banerjee's appointment will strengthen the company's government partnerships, regulatory strategy and policy engagement, supporting the growth of electric commercial mobility in India.
