JLR introduces its new flagship luxury SUV featuring the world's first electrostatic sound system in a production vehicle, wellness technologies, and a 395kW mild-hybrid V8 powertrain.

Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has launched its new flagship luxury SUV, the Range Rover SV Ultra, in India at a starting price of Rs 3.80 crore (ex-showroom, New Delhi). Positioned as the most premium model in the Range Rover lineup, the SUV is currently available with a 395kW petrol mild-hybrid V8 powertrain, while a fully electric version is set to join the range later this year.

The new Range Rover SV Ultra introduces several exclusive design and technology enhancements. It features a Titan Silver exterior finish with Satin Platinum Atlas and Silver Chrome accents, along with 23-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the SUV offers a leather-free Orchid White and Cinder Grey Ultrafabrics interior, laser-crafted seat upholstery, Rattan Palm Veneer trim, and premium ceramic detailing.

Rajan Amba, Managing Director, JLR India, said, "Range Rover SV Ultra represents the pinnacle of Range Rover luxury, combining exclusive design details with breakthrough innovation."

A standout feature of the SUV is the SV Electrostatic Sound System, which JLR says is the first application of electrostatic audio technology in a production vehicle. The system integrates 21 electrostatic transducers into the headrests, seatbacks, and headlining, supported by five bass speakers, to deliver an immersive in-cabin audio experience. It also works with the Body and Soul Seats and Sensory Floor System, offering six wellness programmes designed to promote relaxation and improve concentration.

According to JLR, the electrostatic audio technology delivers a faster response than conventional speakers while using up to 90% less power and mass. The company also noted that the speakers are manufactured without rare earth elements and are made using fully recycled and upcycled materials, reinforcing its focus on sustainable luxury.
