Simple Energy Adopts Siemens Cloud Engineering Platform
Simple Energy has integrated Siemens' cloud-based engineering software to strengthen product lifecycle management and accelerate the development of new electric two-wheelers.

Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer Simple Energy has expanded its adoption of Siemens' cloud-based software platform to streamline product engineering and efficiently manage its growing vehicle portfolio.

The company has deployed Teamcenter X for Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) and Designcenter X for advanced 3D vehicle design and engineering as part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio. It has also replaced its legacy CAD systems with the new cloud-based engineering platform.

The upgraded technology stack includes variant configuration tools based on a 150% Bill of Materials (BOM) approach, enabling engineering teams to generate multiple vehicle configurations from a single master digital architecture. This is expected to simplify product development, improve design efficiency, and reduce development timelines.

Kiran Poojary, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Simple Energy, said the software integration will provide better control over complex vehicle variants and large assemblies, helping the company accelerate product development.

Matthew Thomas, Vice President and Managing Director, Siemens Digital Industries Software India, said the integrated product lifecycle platform will support Simple Energy's operational expansion and enable the company to scale its engineering capabilities as its product portfolio grows.
