EKA Mobility has delivered three 9-meter electric buses to the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. The initiative was carried out under the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program of Power Grid Corporation of India. The order was secured by EKA Mobility through a reverse auction on the Government e-Marketplace (GeM) portal, following an AIIMS tender.
The buses feature a 23+1 seating configuration with pushback seats, wheelchair accessibility, and hydraulic lifts for differently-abled passengers. Designed to enhance inclusivity, the vehicles will provide last-mile mobility solutions for patients, staff, and visitors at the medical institute.
The ceremonial flag-off was conducted by Shri R.K. Tyagi, Chairman & Managing Director of Power Grid, along with Dr. M. Srinivas, Director of AIIMS. Senior Power Grid officials including Shri Yatindra Dwivedi (Director, Personnel), Shri Vikram Singh Bhal (Executive Director, CMG), and Shri Jasbir Singh (Executive Director, CSR) were also present on the occasion.
